Association of the Miraculous Medal
A Word of Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Association of the Miraculous Medal. Thank you for visiting our site. We hope you find it helpful and that you will save it as a favorite to which you will return regularly.

As Spiritual Director of the Association, I have the wonderful opportunity to serve the members of the Association as they engage in the Vincentian work of promoting devotion to Mary under her title of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.

We trace our roots to 1830 in France when Mary appeared to St. Catherine Labouré, a novice with the Daughters of Charity. Mary directed Catherine to have the Miraculous Medal struck and distributed. Countless numbers of people who have worn the medal have experienced the graciousness of God’s love and mercy through the intercession of our Blessed Mother.

The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, located in Perryville, Missouri, is a center of prayer for the Association. It is our privilege to pray for you and your intentions. We invite you to share your intentions with us and we will include them in daily Masses and prayers at the Shrine. Your intentions are also remembered in the prayers of the Vincentian priests, brothers and seminarians of the Western Province.

I invite you to consider becoming a member of the Association of the Miraculous Medal, if you are not already one. You will share in the spiritual benefits that members of the Association receive, as well as being part of a community that collaborates with other communities such as the Congregation of the Mission, the Daughters of Charity, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Ladies of Charity, and other groups of the Vincentian family.

If you want further assistance or materials, please contact us. You can find instructions on how to do so at the bottom of every page of the website.

Again I welcome you to the website of the Association of the Miraculous Medal. I ask you to pray for us as we pray for you. May God bless you and may Mary extend her maternal care to you.
