Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary--Litany of Loreto
The Litany of Loreto, a Marian litany, contains invocations that date back to the twelfth century. It was recorded in its present form (apart from a few additions by recent popes) at Loreto in 1558 and approved by Sixtus V (1521-1590). For about half of the invocations, the present translation uses the traditional renderings, which have been in use since the seventeenth century.

Lord, have mercy,
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.
God the Father of heaven,
Have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world
Have mercy on us.
God the Holy Spirit,
Have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity, one God
.
Have mercy on us.
